Conference grants

Several of our colleagues recently won conference grants: Tadeusz Iwaniec, Mark Kleiner, Loredana Lanzani, Graham Leuschke, and Dan Zacharia. Congratulations!
  • "International Conference on Representation of Algebras (ICRA XVII)": This is the most important international conference in Representation Theory and it is held every 2 years. It was held in TSIMF, Sanya, China, in 2014 and Bielefeld University, Germany, in 2012. It will be held in Syracuse University in 2016 (Aug 10-19). The PI 's for this award are Prof. Dan Zacharia, Prof. Mark Kleiner, and Prof. Graham Leuschke.
  • “Northeast Analysis Network (NAN)”: This is a collaborative initiative with University of Rochester. The funding is for two conferences in 2 years. Rochester will host NAN 2016 and Syracuse will host in 2017. These 2 conferences will primarily feature talks by post-docs & finishing graduate students; however there will “Excelsior Lectures” in these conferences by leading researchers. The PI for this award from Syracuse side is Prof. Loredana Lanzani.
  • “Harmonic Analysis, Complex Analysis, Spectral Theory and all that”: This conference will be held in MRCC, Bedlewo, Poland, in 2016 (Aug 1-5). The funding will support full travel expenses for about 50 Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Fellows, and some faculty members — all from US. This award brings a fantastic opportunity for students and junior colleagues to attend a top-level international conference. The PI for this award is Prof. Tadeusz Iwaniec.
